Using the Menu Editor in Visual Basic
The menu editor in Visual Basic allows the user to build menu bars like those in Microsoft Word, Excel and other Windows programs. Provides a quick and easy way to create menu items and set various properties for each of them, like the HelpContextID. The menu editor also allows the user to decide whether or not it is visible or enabled, among others. Read on to learn how to use the menu editor in Visual Basic .
Click “Start” in the lower left corner of the screen desktop. Then select “All Programs”, “Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 and Visual Basic 6.0 .”
Select” Standard EXE “from the list on the New Project dialog box, then click” Open. ”
Select “Tools” from the menu bar and select “Menu Editor” from the dropdown menu .
Enter the correct information in the Caption text. Browse through the rest of the text boxes on the form and fill as desired. Repeat to enter more items on the menu to the desired shape .
hit “OK” to return to the Visual Basic project.
